A rather belated post about the Out There visit to Crosby Beach near Liverpool with Kirkgate Studios and Workshops in August.
The one-hundred life size cast-iron figures by Antony Gormley have been permanently resident on the beach front since 2006 but were originally exhibited there in 1997.
Ann and Heather, two of the Out There group participants spent time creating a fabulous garment to clothe Figure 64 – pictured here without his finery.
The garment was pieced together from naturally dyed fabrics from our workshops, sewn together by hand.
