Printing in the sunshine

A busy day here at KS&W saw our garden bed repaired and transformed. Thanks very much to Andy. Pictured here hard at work.

The second workshop session for our ‘Out There’ group tried out a technique named ‘Hapazome’ by the highly innovative textile artist India Flint. Colour from plant material is literally beaten into cloth using mallets. Beautiful and detailed flower and leaf prints can be made with a little practice.

The group spent an enjoyable (and noisy!) couple of hours outside and produced some lovely textile samples.
